Individual consultation with florist. Create a complete design plan and floral order for your event. Some clients will arrive brimming with mood boards full of inspiration, and others are very much open to suggestion. Whichever end of the scale you rest on, there is no right or wrong when it comes to how much or little you should prepare for this part. Our experienced Weddings team will help you identify what flowers and colors will make your heart sing! Some useful starting points include: • A preferred colour scheme • Your favourite flower(s) • Inspirational photos of flowers or flower gardens • What you will be wearing • The interior decoration or architecture of the venue • Or very simply, your story. We tell stories through flowers – and on your wedding day, it’s all about yours. Sometimes, this is inspired by the first song you danced to together or the place where you were engaged. Perhaps your favourite flower reminds you of home, perhaps it reminds you of your family. Whatever it is that inspires you, we’re here to bring your story to life. Helpful information to prepare for consultation includes: • Date of wedding • Venue(s) and best point of contacts • Wedding planner and contact details • Wedding party – couple, bridesmaids, best men, mother and fathers of couple etc. • Number of guests • Itinerary – reception, ceremony, drinks and canapes, dinner, dancing etc. • Seating arrangements for the ceremony • Table numbers and shapes e.g. round tables, banquet tables, etc. This information will be both helpful for your florist to understand what floral designs you are likely to need, but it will also help later down the line when it comes to liaising with planners and venue to ensure all goes smoothly on the day – meaning you can relax and enjoy yourself, knowing all is in hand.
